So, I discovered today that I can only access the cameras (either front or back) through the Windows Store apps, which means that any desktop based apps (Skype, Google Hangouts, Teamviewer presentations) can’t be used. Google Hangouts displays a black screen, while Skype and Teamviewer report that the camera is busy. Tried restarts, driver uninstall/reinstall (MS Front/Rear Camera) with no luck. Any ideas?
A couple of things to check… Under Settings\Privacy\Camera make sure that you have “Let apps use my camera” turned on. Also, go down the list and turn on Skype and other apps that you want the camera to work with.
